Listed below is Help Desk Central's Policy regarding the changing NetID password and more common passwords used campus wide. If you have questions about the policy, feel free to contact Help Desk Central.

Faculty, Staff, Students and Formers Students with an Active NetID
If you know your UIN and you possess an active NetID then you may either call or visit Help Desk Central to change your NetID password.
Note: You will need to present a picture ID to verify your identity before changing your NetID.
If you do not know your UIN you must do one of the following to retrieve it prior to changing your NetID password.
Current and former students
Call the Registrar's Office at 979.845.1003
Incoming students and applicants
For Undergraduates: Contact the Office of Admissions and Records at 979.845.1060, use menu options 2 - 5 - 3.
For Graduate and International Students: Contact the Office of Admissions and Records at 979.845.1060, use menu options 2 - 5 - 2
Former Student who no longer have an active NetID
Set up your Former Student Login. For instruction on how to do this please click here.
If you have forgotten the password, you will need to complete the Former Student Account Activation again. At this time we are unable to reset these passwords
Parent/Guardian Access to Howdy
Call Help Desk Central and have your Token ID or NetID ready when you call.
Parent/Guardian Access to Touchnet (Student Billing System)
At this time Help Desk Central is unable to reset these passwords. You will need to contact Student Buisness Services directly at 979.845.8127
TAMUS SSO (Formerly known as HRConnect)
Help Desk Central is unable to assist with resetting these passwords.
However, you may contact your department's Human Resource Manager. They will be able to assist you in resetting the password. If you are unsure of who this is, contact your department's main office.
