Requesting a Unix Shell Account

Introduction
To request a shell account on the CIS general-purpose Unix server, oldschool.tamu.edu, send an email request to helpdesk@tamu.edu with the following information:
- Your NetID
- Current contact information
- The intended use of the account
You will be contacted when the account has been created, and you can then log in to oldschool.tamu.edu with your NetID and your NetID password, using a secure connection (visit the HDC PuTTY documentation for more information).
